The 20th IE Expo China unveils with Shanghai Pavilion attracting crowds

IE China, dedicated to creating a green life together with global environment protection industry, launched its 20th session on April 15. It is the largest of its kind in Asia, which showcases the latest results of environment treatment technology, equipment and services in China. The expo also further boosts the structural reform on the supply side in the industry and stimulates the integration of the governmental sector, the industry, the academy and the research to activate the market. Quality development is thus achieved to guarantee a green living environment for the people.

Apart from the original targets of water, solid waste, air and soil, other solutions for noise pollution treatment and smart environmental sanitation have been increased. The industrial chain including environment-protection equipment manufacturers and design and consultancy service agencies have been integrated to provide the environmental pollution industry and end users an eco-platform for pollution treatment and play a significant role in supporting the national campaign to crack down on the pollution.

In recent years, Shanghai environment-protection industry has been developing rapidly, with more competitive companies arising in sewage treatment, riverway process, dust elimination and noise abatement. The “Shanghai Pavilion”, consisting of 21 units including Shanghai Academy of Environmental Sciences and Shanghai Municipal Engineering Design Institute (Group) Co Ltd attended the expo and displayed local enterprises’ techniques to treat pollution from the origin as well as the equipment and research to cut down on the energy use and emission and to improve environment, which attracted flocks of Chinese and foreign professional guests.

According to statistics available, the number of pre-registered professional guests surged 120 percent from last year. Many of them are governmental and major industry enterprise decision makers and staff in design institutes and scientific research institutes. Agents and environment protection companies from India, Vietnam, Korea, Japan and other Southeastern countries also joined the event.

This year, the expo aims to serve as a platform to launch new products and technologies, land new research and development and communicate new ideas for Chinese and international environment pollution treatment industries and boost a sustainable progress for China in this respect.
